* pkgs: refactor needless quoting of homepage meta attribute
A lot of packages are needlessly quoting the homepage meta attribute
(about 1400, 22%), this commit refactors all of those instances.

Things linked with tinyxml would previously reference the bare "libtinyxml.dylib"
name.

Build-tested on x86_64 Linux & Mac.

- Relax the baked-in assumption that g++ is used to build and link
- Use the appropriate shared library extension on darwin

* Remove package name
* Start with upper case letter
* Remove trailing period
Also reword some descriptions and move some long descriptions to
longDescription.
I'm not touching generated packages.
